Without a description of the pain it is hard to say. Most likely a pulled muscle or trapped nerve. Try a warm bath and Ibruprofen. You may have slept on your arm funny?
There is always the possibility of a blood clot...do you have any risk factors...the pill, recent op, recent air travel??
As long as you are feeling ok and your arm isn't hot or inflammed I would just rest as I'm sure it is just a muscle. Take care xx
Regards the answer above...if it was an heart attack it would be in your left arm xx

Pulled muscle or RSI, if you've been on the computer everyday, especially if you are right-handed and using a laptop without the mouse.
Not enough info for a diagnosis, really, so do see your doctor. Eg your age, work, when it started, what may have started it (existing/previous conditions, medications etc).
The reason I urge you to go to the doctor is because, in the worse case scenario, it may have been a small heart attack, and the quicker you are assessed, the better the prognosis. You can call/email NHS Direct:

Well first off all you havent explained where the pain is in your arm, what sort off pain it is? Have you been playing sports, lifting heavy items etc lately ? If so it sounds to me you have pulled a muscle, this will ease in a few days, take some pain relief and rest.If no better in a few days go see your gp where he will examine you and treat you what ever he finds. He would more then likely give you inflammatry tablets, these pills are a pain relief as well as a inflammatry pill .If your in pain dont leave it go see your gp.Good Luck.

Maybe you pulled a muscle? Otherwise if you've been playing any sport like squash or something it might be tennis elbow hope not as this can hurt for a long time.

You've probably strained a muscle. Take two paracetamols, this will ease the pain, don't rest your arm keep it moving as normal.
