You're very intuitive and intelligent in recognizing the possibility that you may have anorexia, especially by your statement that your body won't let you eat. That's more serious than voluntarily skipping meals because you don't want to gain weight, which is also a terrible idea. The advice I'm going to give you is to see a doctor, and don't waste any time in doing so. If you are anorexic, the sooner you begin treatment, the better off you'll be. You have my best wishes that this problem will be corrected ASAP!

Talk to your doctor. Anorexia is hard to overcome and most people can't do it alone. Even when we are "recovered" we still struggle. Anorexia also does not automatically mean thin.
I had been anorexic (and skinny) as a teen. During an abusive marriage I became SERIOUSLY morbidly obese. (360 lbs). After my divorce I slipped right back into anorexia and have struggled with it ever since. I dropped about 200 pounds within a year, but my body has stopped losing weight. I eat about once a day, if I remember to. When my husband leaves town on a business trip he either calls to remind me or has a freind check on me. Because of how long I was anorexic I no longer have any physical sensation of hunger. After working with a doctor and a nutritionist for over a year now I've finally started getting a hunger sensation, but still have trouble recognizing it. My husband was gone for three days once during which time I ate half a cup of yogurt. I also have MAJOR pains when I eat too much. I may never eat "normally" again, but we're trying.
The best thing to do is talk to your doctor. There may be medications to help you overcome any intestinal problems that keep you from eating early in the day or suppliments you can take to prevent malnutrition.
For a quick check to wether or not you are in trouble NOW look at your nails. Are there horizontal ridges that parallel the nail bed? If so, these are Beau's lines and are present in people with a variety of health problems and in most people with long lasting anorexia problems. Finding these lines means you need to see a doctor as soon as you can as they can be caused by anorexia and by other diseases and conditions that may be affecting your eating.

Anorexia nervosa is specifically defined my the American Psychological Association. It says you must have 85% of the expected body weight, intense fear of gaining weight, denial of a problem/body image. In women it results in loss of a period for at least 3 cycles.
That being said, many people have eating disorders that are not diagnosable. If you feel like you cannot eat lots of foods, try something small like a yogurt, a granola bar, a croissant, etc in the morning and try a small plate of pasta or something similar at lunch. Breaking up your food into 5 small portions throughout the day is considered as healthy as (or more so) than 3 large portions. Consider something along the lines of: 350 calorie breakfast, 200 calorie snack, 400 calorie lunch, 150 calorie snack, 400 calorie supper. These are just ideas, and many websites will help you tailor a diet to your body. Finally, if you feel you have problems you cannot fix alone, please talk to a mental therapist and they can help you. Eating disorders are serious medical problems that result in death if not treated. Find help before its too late.

Anorexics do eat they simply "do no longer eat too lots". additionally they nonetheless eat cake, cookies, or icecream. people who say anorexics do no longer eat have not got a clue what they are talking approximately. Many diets finally end up spiraling into finished blown anorexia. that's as in case you awaken sometime thoroughly distinctive and for the period of the time this occurs that's merely too previous due. Malnutrition motives ideas atrophy which leads to melancholy, tension, insomnia, irrational thinking, and distorted perceptions. you will now have the anorexic approach, irrational thinking, and anorexic voices on your head which you theory would possibly in no way take place to you. in case you have lost that lots weight in 2 weeks i might say issues ought to become very risky for you. substitute the path you're on on the instant because of the fact anorexia will smash definitely each and every thing. eat healthful, eat the correct quantity (1800-2000 energy) and workout thrice a week. wellbeing is greater significant than a variety on the dimensions.

Anorexia has a lot to do with a false body image (you think you are fat even when you are not), not just a lack of appetite. There could be other factors involved in your lack of appetite for breakfast and lunch. Get a good physical workup and discuss this with your doctor. If you are eating erratically, you may also have nutritional deficiencies that you need to address. You may also need to rearrange your daily schedule to create time for healthy meals.

Anorexia is defined when I person eats less than 1200 calories a day. If you don't eat breakfast or lunch, then chances are that at dinner you don't gorge yourself (which is what you would have to do to eat more than 1200 calories). I would suggest buying cereal bars like Nutrigrain or Nature Valley, and just grab one each morning so that your body has something. Even if you aren't hungry, just eat a little bit and eventually your body will get used to getting that food in the morning and you will want it.
