styling gels,put on while hair is wet/damp useing your hand to scrunch.I personally if i were of the african amer.desent would just go all natureal,wild,fro type.

You can opt for a wave nouveau or a gel relaxer, which is acid based. It is pretty gentle and you usually need do about two kits kits to get the curls that you desire. You can get the product at select beauty supply store that caters to the Black population or order on-line at http://www.gigibeauty.com/ or http://paynesbeautysupply-salon.stores.yahoo.net/. Another option would be to try Rusk Anti-Curl relaxer, which basically loosens the curl pattern in your hair, but doesn't straightens it. I never tried it before but I do know it contains ammonium thioglycoate [sic]. With either product, you might experience some dryness so better opt for a light moisturizer such as Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Moisture Mist and pair it up with Biolage Hydra-Seal. Please use with a light hand so the end results wouldn't look so wet. Good luck.

take a shower at night and then french braid your hair. If your hair doesn't hold curl well (you'll know this after experimenting a couple times) try putting some gel in it before you b raid it. Two braids will give you tighter curls than just one. When you wake up, un-braid your hair and comb it out gently, preferably with a pick or wet-hair comb (one with big teeth spread far apart). I do this all the time and it works great.

yea my cosin mixed to and what she does is gets her whole head wet and bruses it so that is all staright then she takes her hand and start at the bottom of her head a rub her head with her hand up and down on her her hair lightly real fast an it gets curly like.
