Calcium, calcium, calcium! :)
If you're not getting enough calcium in your diet, make sure you take a supplement. Viactiv Chews are pretty tasty chocolate or caramel calcium chews. 2 a day will give you all of the calcium you need, plus the Vitamin D and K needed to porperly absorb it. http://www.viactiv.com If you're not into the chews (which I prefer), you can always go with Oscal or Caltrate.
Good sources of calcium = milk, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, orange juice (only if it's the kind w/ added calcium!), salmon, clams, almonds, tofu, figs, cooked spinach, cooked greenbeans...
Weight bearing exercise also helps a lot.

Supplementing your calcium is one way of helping your bones. What must people don't realize is that your muscles make your bones stronger. It's your muscles that protect your bones. As we age we loose muscle mass. Guess what happens when you lose muscle your bones become weak. I never seen an older person who is fit with decent amount of muscle mass have weak bones. So beside eat the right foods & vitamins I would consider doing some aerobic exercise and some strength training. Your bones will thank you for it! Good Luck

Be sure and get plenty of calcium in your diet since sufficient calcium is essential for strong and healthy bones. Dairy products are a great source of calcium- milk, cheese, etc.

Anything that has calcium in it. Typically people eat dairy products to get the recommended amount i.e. milk, cheese etc. However there are many non-dairy products that contain calcium.

Drink lots of milk.
But I also did hear that milk cause osteroperosis(disease where your bones become weak and brittle) so try orange juice instead. It has the same amountt of calcium.
