well..it is bad. cuz when you straighten your hair..the straightner burns it to get it straighten. but you straighten it once a week. then you should just go to a salon and get it permanet for about 6-8 months.

Not the best option IMO but if you want to straighten your hair once a week, I would deep condition your hair weekly. Trust me on this, it will help on the breakage. Then blowdry your hair until it is dry, not on high though. Then use a heat protecting serum or spray, like Redken Heat Glide, Matrix Sleek.look Iron Smoother, or Paul Mitchell Heat Works, and flat iron on the lowest temperature possible and do it by small sections. Yeah it is time consuming but it helps.

Once a week is not bad at all, but make sure you wash and condition it as well. Just don't put heat in it everyday. Once a week is about how often I straighten my hair and the heat has no effect on it at all.

no, it's not too bad for your hair. it might not be the greatest thing you can do for it, but hey, you gotta make some sacrifices to look good right? I straighten my hair all the time. If you want your hair straightened really good, put baby oil on it the night before and sleep with it on. Then after you shampoo it and wash it, use the Garnier Fructis deep conditioner. Straighten using the Remington Wet2Straight. works very well. ;)

It is bad for it, but I do it daily. I use products to protect it from the heat, and my hair is still healthy. You should be fine if you're only doing it once a week.

Yes, I straighten my hair at best every 6 weeks. That stuff murders your roots and I condition like crazy afterwards.

I don't think it's really bad for you hair, if you use a product to help protect your hair. I straighten mine everyday, and I have very healthy hair. I use Pantene Pro-V shampoo, because it helps to protect it. So, I think that it's okay for you to straighten your hair everyday.
