I'll buy it from the produce section at my local supermarket. I wouldn't eat one in the wild.

I found that other people can eat mushrooms that made me sick. I recommend that you only eat mushrooms from the store and if a mushroom taste off or funny in anyway that you stop eating them.

Unless you are aching to have a liver transplant, don't eat a muchroom you're unsure about.
Buy mushrooms from your local grocer.

If your speaking of picking them wild, DON'T, unless you have been taught the difference.

Mushrooms are raised in near total darkness by growers. Those in grocery stores are all professionally grown.

As far as old ones, even from grocery stores, they should be dry, never "slimy" feeling.

long as the color hasen't changed into a blackish color your fine them become very bark when going bad
