very rarely does it come naturally to write i found the biggest problem i had was trying to make everything grammatically correct as i wrote or making it fit the standards of american literature but what you should do is let oyur thoughts flow get it all down on paper and dont worry about mistakes then when you re-read it fix the mistakes you have made if something doesnt make sense in the work then note that and try to think of something else after you finish reading these ar the steps i take and i find writing comes very easy to me now even though it didnt before

Practice. Study. Read good books to study the writing styles.
Read and study the writing in the Wall Street Journal, and concentrate on the first page on Section 1 and the first page on Section 2.
I took a business writing course in college. Reading the Journal every day was a course requirement. The writing is geared towards eighth grade reading and comprehension level.
One of the exercises we had to do, regularly was try to rewrite a sentence or paragraph to make it read better. I never could.

I was just wondering who told you that you weren't great at it. If anyone did, tell them to piss-off and if it's you thats telling yourself that, I bet your better than you think you are. Even with the best journalists out there, there's always 5 editors who don't like their work and the 1 editor who loves it, that is what's important.Stick with it,start even writing about local stories to give you more of a feeling of it and soon you'll change the opinion of yourself.I bet your not giving yourself enough credit.

Remember that professional writing is nearly as formulaic as math or science. Develop a vague habit like paragraph and sentence structure that works for you and replicate it.

The first thing you should do is go back to school and find a course that teaches English.

well to start with..start answering and asking good questions....
not like 90% of the questions asked ,right now...
and answering questions in the right way....
not like most of us...
try to read the ,different perspectives of the news..and not going with what cnn tells you...base line..improve your knowledge ,from different angles
and you can be a good journalist
