I think the religious ask questions to others who are not in the same religion/beliefs not because they are actually curious about what non-believers, athiests, freethinkers have to say, but because they want to pick a fight. Afterall, most people who ask those questions are not going into it with an open mind--only a mind who will feel excited when someone agrees and a mind who is defensive when disagreed with.

Christians do this because in reality they are trying to "spread the Word" and make other people think. They are not asking questions so much as preaching.

Maybe some children were never taken to church and they really don't know anything about Him. If someone is asking to know more about Him, you should never laugh at them or turn them away. That's messed up. You're going to hell. :)

People want to be right. They ask questions that prove they are right. They also want to prove their dogma to be correct. People are afraid of controversy and tough questions.
