basically a repitition of the two depending on how long you yawn or in some cases if you are yawning quickly and really hard the lungs will try to keep themselves from expanding to much by tightening and you will actually stop breathing momentarily but just for a few seconds then you breathe out again i hate it when i do that

During the yawn, you are breathing IN to get as much oxygen as you can.
After the yawn you breathe out.

Actually yawning is because we are oxygen deprived. Thats what causes it. So you don't stop breathing. In fact, it expands your lungs to the extent that you can breathe better.
Hope that helps:)

mostly out, but we do both. Breath in to start out to finish. A yawn if not from being tired but the need for more oxygen to your brain.

coming from the brain releasing through the jaw and on to the rest of the body
