I think it's hard to compare the 2 cars.
Z is a sports cars, 6 cylinder 300 horsepower 2 seater
Solara is a Camry, 4 cylinder, 157 hp with seating for 4
If you can get the Z, take it. Unless you are a 65 year old grandmother who need it to go to the library & bingo on Thursdays...then get the Camry (Solara)

I'd take the Solara, but my fiance would take the Z hands down. I would have to agree with the earlier poster, they are very different cars. The Solara is actually a Camry, so that gives you an idea at the aim. The 350 comes from a line of sports cars. The 300zx, the Datsun 280zx. Its designed to be a little more sporty. If you want it for the sportyness I'd say the Z. The 350, I believe is just about 1 to 2 seconds faster in the quarter mile.

Those cars are two completely different animals. The Solara is a fun coupe, but nothing near the performance or "fun factory" of a Z. The Z is more performance driven, the Solara is more luxury/communting driven in design.

2 diferent cars; one(solara) is more for the person who wants to look sporty,with some luxury but not the real performance of a true sports car,the other(350Z) my favor for the real sports car fanatic,who wants high performance,luxury, but at the same time looking super COOL.........
