Should the govt shut down Islamic schools in the UK found to be linked to terrorists?

The school is an Islamic school in "East Sussex". It was all over the news on 2nd Sept.

this is the uk we should never have allowed them to have their own schools in the first place and thay should wear our school uniforms as well this is our country for ***** sake yes close them down and if thay dont like it well **** off back to there own country

This seems, so far, to be an exceptional case. The real question is, "should faith schools be closed down en masse?"
Personally, I feel that religion should not be introduced to children until their minds are capable of making logical decisions based on rational thought. Treat it in the same manner as pornography.
Most "believers" grew up with the teachings of a particular religion (usually their parents religion). therefore, since they trust their parents and believe that parents will only tell them the "truth", it MUST be right.
In addition, the more time spent on religious teaching, the less time to learn the subjects necessary to creating educated, useful people.

i know this sounds bad but yes, i don't meen shut down every islamic school in the uk, thats wrong, but if the authorities have a really strong case to prove it is linking to extreamist religious behaviour than it is no-longer a school and should be shut down, i read recently of a 'school' that had 3 pupils and no books on the premises what so ever!
This in my mind is as bad as foriegn terrorists who set up drug factories in schools, or villages.

Goodness, I must be extremely naive, I thought schools in the UK were regulated, but silly me, I also thought that people who had worked here all their lives and paid NI from the age of 17 had a claim for social housing... there you go, and then they wonder why people like me vote for the BNP?

Yes, there's one across the road from my partners Mum, they have silly music that's too loud and they croud the street when it's finished, bloody foreigners (sorry to all nice foreigners, I know there are some and I know you know how I feel cos the foreigners who've been here forever are getting fed up with new foreigners too)

Well obviously, otherwise they'd be condoning terrorism. Personally I don't agree with allowing any faith schools, not just Muslim but Catholic, evangelist etc. as they just increase the likelihood of people growing up without knowing people from other backgrounds, which can't be good.

Yes send them home, if they don't like it the way we do it here then they should clear off, they would not allow us to go out there and start our own way of life, so why should we change for them? shut down all there schools and let them go to our schools

All Bush and Blair and the Media have done is attack Islam and they want to braim wash people's minds so that they agree with them. So to brain wash people you would need to use every possible way to beleive that Muslims are terrorists.
