The devil does rule the earth. God will not get involved and stand between you and satan unless He is asked to. You must believe in God and accept His son Jesus as your savior before God can stand between you and the devil in life. God will not look upon sin or the sinner until they are cleansed by the blood of Jesus through them being born again and accepting Jesus as their savior.
