With today's new tape released by Al Queada calling for all who do not believe in Islam to convert expressing urgency in doing so...
They mean everyone that is not Islamic.
My question will you convert? Do you see this as a warning or a threat? If not what are your plans? Will you be prepared? Or should we continue to laugh it off?

Johnslat -- I am glad you are not laughing. Maybe you are taking the threat as serious as it should be. Have you seen the tape yet today? I would imagine this will be followed by some new act of terrorism. As you have lived there you of all people should realize the seriousness of this tape today.
I do not want to lump Islam int this as a whole. In my heart I want to believe interpretation of the Koran by most is taken in a less radical sense. I see all mankind as generally good. But this not-so-small group could push things to a level where the greater, peacefull group would be inclined to join in.

First of all ,I am agnostic so I have nothing to convert from,but if I did ,I certainly wouldn't convert to Islam.
Is any one ever really prepared for war,no ,but I am prepared to fight for my country and my way of life.
Any religion that orders people to do anything isn't a religion its a cult.Any cult that orders its followers to do suicide bombing is a dangerous cult.Dangerous but not undefeatable.Might in numbers doesn't always equate to winning.We have weapons of mass destruction here in the USA and we will if necessary ,use them to stop aggression.
War is never pretty but it may be inevitable.One can only summon ones courage to resist and fight back.American will not fall to the Islamic extremist.We will fight for freedom.

1. No, they mean everyone who doesn't embrace their idiosyncratic brand of Islam - and that includes most Muslims
2. Al Quaeda - should be spelled

Nope, I'm not planning to revert (According to Islam, people don't "convert" to Islam, they "revert", since they believe everyone is born Muslim.)
I see it as the usual BS
I'm not laughing (Remember 9/11?), but I'm not going to let a small bunch of rabid fanatics change anything about my life.

Islam is NOT calling for all westerners to convert. Al Queada is who uses a twisted interpretation if Islam to justify their actions.
