Im looking at taking my PPL Im 67 years young, living in France and the flying fees refer to (wet) help I bet this is going to be real stupid question when I get a simple answer Thanks

When renting an aircraft "wet", it means that the fuel tank is already capped off and you don't have to bother filling it up.
But whatever you do, ALWAYS check the fuel level yourself before going flying!!! Always always always! I can't stress it enough... you never know if the gas cap is loose or they filled up the wrong airplane... Always check!!!!! It might save your tush.

"Wet" rates include fuel and usually some oil. Dry reates could mean you rent the aircraft and then have to pay for fuel. It has absolutely nothing to do with how much gas is in the tanks, as most "dry" rates are calculated by filling the tank after you return and charging you for the quantity required to refill the tank.

"Wet" means that the aircraft owner buys the fuel, out of the money you pay for the rental. "Dry" means that you buy the fuel, in addition to paying the rental fees. Wet rates run about a third higher than dry rates.

"Wet" means including weight of consumable fluids, i.e., avgas and oil. "Dry" means you pay for any gas & oil you use. I'm assuming you're the pilot, and are just going to lease/rent the aircraft from a flying club or such organization? That's what we do here in Alaska.

It means that fuel is included in the rental rate. If the rate is "dry", you pay for the fuel.
