why would someone say something so hateful?

i asked a question about my teenager for advice and most of what i got were people telling me yeah i am a bad mother well why would someone say something so hurtful? i am a single mom of two trying to raise them on my own

cuz in general people suck...i read some of those answers and they sure are brutal, sorry bout the issues yer having at home and i just pray i don't have to deal with that stuff myself soon...( daughter is 12) good luck, pray, remeber it is sooo difficult now but she'll only be with you a little while longer so though i'm sure this behavior angers you, still be sure to give her love and encouragement as often as she will allow...good ,bad, or otherwise you are the only mother she will ever have

If you're the same mom who wrote a few minutes ago, let me explain something to you. You are not a bad mother -- just one who has lost control of her teenage daughter. I recognized that you have a problem, and it's probably too overwhelming for you to handle on your own. We are just parents, we aren't God or the president or geniuses. We try to do the best we can, but sometimes kids do get out of control in spite of our best intentions. I read an article once that said the time to teach children to behave and to form good social habits is when they're still toddlers. If you wait too long and expect them to follow the rules when they reach the age of exercising their own independence, then it's often too late, and this is probably what's happened in your situation. I can't speak for the others, but I don't think you're a bad mom. I do think you need help, though. None of us is perfect, dear. If I hurt you in any way, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to, honest. I hope you'll get the help you need in controlling your daughter, and that she grows up to be a fine young lady that you can be proud of. That's all any parent can want. I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi there my dear Don't you worry or take any notice of these morons out there they haven't anything else better to do with their meaningless lives. I am a 50 year old gentleman, I am Scottish and I now live in Essex England with my lovely wife and 2 kids. I am disabled, I suffered a brain haemorrhage, 15 mini strokes, diabetes, plus others too many to mention, at present I have kidney faiure which I have dialysis three times a week at hospital. Since I moved to Essex in 1978/9 I have had only one friend and he died of full blown aids. The only friends I have now and only since June this year are from the USA and are all lovely people all with kind hearts. So take care of yourself and family and don't bother about these morons. Remember that not all people are nasty. Ps You are not a bad mother, just remember that, and if you continue to be upset with these people, just click them off and go somewhere else. I would like to communicate with you by email, but How can You or I give our addressses out without someone else butting in. I have three friends in the states one is a Lady with family, she could verify that I am safe to communicate with but how do I do it safely?

Ignore the jerks. Anyone who would say that has never had to raise children. I would bet that any one saying ignorant things is most likely a child any way. One that (like all) thinks that they are ready for the world and the parents are just holding them back.

Little do they know that the real world is not as safe as they think it is.

Hi. I read your question and found a couple of answers were out of line-especially being told you need to take a parenting course and that you're a bad mother. You don't need that. What you need is reassurance that you're doing ok and that teens go through all kinds of phases. Sit down with your girl and talk to her openly and honestly-set about finding where the problem lies.If she won't listen
