it is the one thing no one can ever prove that anyone is wrong or right about till they are already gone?

People can poke hole after hole after hole in the superstitions, though. That's as close to proving a negative as I think you're gunna get.

Religion is one, it is not pointless because it endorses honor, that is a rejoice, a needy argument. Religion is the honor of truth in a decaying prestige of withdrawal. About your refusal to endure justice you are on the right path young one, yet fail to succeed because as others you speak with no content, such as spongehead bob. If you do not grasp the basic structure of the advent we are speaking with ourselves. Yet here we face the coming of the verse in refrain of virtue, we soror in dismay of valor for we only posses the serendia to annihilate withdrawal of commitment, not horror.
You as many young one, do not see religion as science but another way to commit not and pretend to be a true winner where there are none. Still there? I think not.
Religion is the absence of blemish in history, nothing more, so the good eight couples every two thousand years are still hanging there, are we not? Shamballah, young aprentice, for time is today and hossana in heights. Call me Manny.

Lol that is essentially the opinion I've come round to believe. But despite that inevitable conclusion, religion and spirituality is perpetually a fascinating subject to discuss. I'm guessing that as humans, as curious creatures, it will always interest us - being the one thing we simply cannot pin down fully with one argument.

Another sad thing is that pretty much no idea or theory is original anymore. I remember telling my friend a philosophical argument (which I thought was profound) and he just laughed and said "you do realize *insert famous philosopher* already covered that centuries ago?!" No wonder today's youth is so apathetic! Well that's my two cents.

Nihil novi.

There ae so very many things that we can't prove. We know very little...even about our own selves.
Wrong or right is not a personal thing it's a universal law; I mean, if you climb the Sears Tower and jump, you will die. If the sun looses it's heat, the earth will freeze. If you do not believe in a creator, you are an idiot; no laws here...it's reality.

There are many claims made by all of the religions that can be scientifically verified or refuted. Many of the most valuable claims made by religion are about cetrtain experiences, all testable. If any religious discussion is pointless it's because evidence is ignored under the illusion of "faith".

well sort of

i think people shud just accept that not everyone agrees wit their oppinions and just have their own relgions and their own views.

im catholic but id keep my options open, some people wud say im just a rubbish catholic then (like my mum lol) but i think its ok to belive in more than one thing if u think u shud

we shudnt be biased about religions and if we dont agree wit them so wat? its not our problem so just leave it and be grateful if you think your religion is 'right'

at the end of the day its not about religion its about the people we are and to be a good person wit a fair personality is much more important.

lol i sound like a hippy but its true!! oh and all you people leaving BORING quotes from bibles and all no offence to u but u have just prooven my point

take a hint and stop FORCE FEEDING religion down peoples throats. god will find them if they want to be found or watever.

Religion is a personal thing, a matter of opinion. There is no right or wrong, good or bad.

nope, I will now show all of you why the point is never going to get to the majority of people, just stand by for a few minutes while I prepare the case!
It comes from Luke 16:19-31

Luke16:19 “But a certain man was rich, and he used to deck himself with purple and linen, enjoying himself from day to day with magnificence. 20 But a certain beggar named Laz´a·rus used to be put at his gate, full of ulcers 21 and desiring to be filled with the things dropping from the table of the rich man. Yes, too, the dogs would come and lick his ulcers. 22 Now in course of time the beggar died and he was carried off by the angels to the bosom [position] of Abraham.

“Also, the rich man died and was buried. 23 And in Ha´des he lifted up his eyes, he existing in torments, and he saw Abraham afar off and Laz´a·rus in the bosom [position] with him. 24 So he called and said, ‘Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Laz´a·rus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, because I am in anguish in this blazing fire.’ 25 But Abraham said, ‘Child, remember that you received in full your good things in your lifetime, but Laz´a·rus correspondingly the injurious things. Now, however, he is having comfort here but you are in anguish. 26 And besides all these things, a great chasm has been fixed between us and YOU people, so that those wanting to go over from here to YOU people cannot, neither may people cross over from there to us.’ 27 Then he said, ‘In that event I ask you, father, to send him to the house of my father, 28 for I have five brothers, in order that he may give them a thorough witness, that they also should not get into this place of torment.’ 29 But Abraham said, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to these.’ 30 Then he said, ‘No, indeed, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them they will repent.’ 31 But he said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone rises from the dead.’”

The point of this is that the 'chasm' that is fixed, also applies to the rift between believers and non-believers. There is absolutely no amount of evidence that you can provide so as to convince someone from the other side of the chasm. The only thing that can happen is for the person that does not believe, has a change of heart(mind),so as to be receptive.
Usually this happens due to a change of circumstance in ones life.

Again, religion is a pointless argument for many, because they can not receive the message.

You are correct.

Science and religion has gone back and forth for centuries. Until something "Godly" happens on a grand-scale that science cannot disprove....the arguements are moot.
