Out of interest - after having read your offical website where it states that you do not teach any faith or religion - why do you use a cross (symbol of 'christianity') as your trademark?

Are there no Scientologists on here to answer the question?

In the 50's and '60's Scientology was making incredible amounts of money. They argued that since they provide similar services as recognized religions (clear = "born again?") that they should be classified as a religion and receive the more favorable tax terms enjoyed by religious organizations.

Since the American government and others refused the request-- they changed their name to "The Church Of Scientology" and adorned their facilities with recognizable religious symbols. Administrators put on robes instead of lab coats. And E-Meter test facilities became temples

Christianity is not the only religion that they have borrowed symbols from but since Scientology does most of it's business in the Christian world, they use symbols that are easy to recognize and associate with religion

I will admit, I don't know all that much about Scientology, but from what I do know, how can people treat it like a religion, when some sci-fi writer made it all up! And as for what Tom Cruise insisted on Katie Holmes doing when she gave birth; I wanted to b***h slap the f*****r! What has how she gives birth got to do with anything???? Apparently he relented in the end, and she went to hospital.

I mean, I know Wicca was mostly created by Gerald Gardner, but at least the basics are in witchcraft and paganism.

I suppose it's to give some illusion of being a genuine religion, I don't suppose it's much madder than the other ones. Still you've got to giggle at people following a religion invented by a science fiction author, he must have been taking the piss surely.

To give their cult some credibility they've used a recognisable symbol to try and pass it off as a religion.

If they'd used coke or the Nike swoosh, they'd have been sued!! LOL

They did it to make it seem like a religion, and to attempt to win more Christian suckers... er, "converts". They are a scam. Type "Xenu" in your search engine and be prepared for a laugh. I hope Scientology drops dead.

Aren't these the evil bastards who brainwash their 'followers' and entrap them into giving them all their money?
(If I'm wrong. I withdraw my remarks wholeheartedly and without reservation).
