Many people have read the bible and have critized it. The problem is that when Christians are shown this critisism, instead of tryinh to address the points made you all say we dont understand it or we are not saved or we are inspired. Why dont you Christians stop using these pitiful tactics to 'beat around the bush' and address the facts made by those who study the bible and say 'there are many problems with it'?

I cannot speak for all the critics of the bible but yes I have read the king James version of the Bible more than once. I have also read the New International, and the American, versions of the bible. What is more I have read book that where once part of the bible and then taken out, and books that other men have deemed not holy inspired at all and there for left out of the bible as most people know it. I have studied allot. The Bible has changed greatly books added taken away. Some rejected altogether. Names have been changed passages changed. I do not think that the bible is a bad book, but neither is it the only word of God. In fact after all my study I do not believe that there is only one god...I'm a polytheist and a spiritualist...I also give honor to my ancestors. By the way I was at deaths door and I have seen and talked to my gods.

The people who hate the Bible the most are ironicly the most knowledgable about it. That's why, if we believe what the Bible says, we need to study it harder and be ready to defend it whenever necessary. I have read it through once, and study parts of it daily to try to better understand it.

I've read about 80% of the Bible. Lots of good messages. Many not so good. As in... I still don't appreciate the pro slavery, anti homosexual, and pro-killing your first born son ideas that it holds. :)

yeah i read it

its saying in lev 18:22 that being gay is an abomination
then i read in lev 11:9-12 that eating shrimp is an abomination

only way to properly criticize it is to read it, as i have, and now understand that its not the word of god

I've read it. Cover to cover, thank you very much.

Properly read, the Bible is the most potent force for atheism ever conceived.
