I got a credit report today. My credit score is lower than what I expected.Apparently I owe someone $149. It doesn't say who I owe, it just gives a number under the account name and says I'm at least 120 days late.

Usually people you owe money to find you.

In this case, the credit reporting bureau has a process where you can dispute an item. It differs depending on the agency (Experian, TransUnion, etc.) Inform them that the debt has been paid and that the item should be removed. That might or might not work, but it's worth a try.
