I was appalled! She even had holes in the knees. I'm going to have to speak to the pastor about our standards. This just can't be happening in our church. We need to keep up our best appearances in the Lord's house. If people cannot dress properly they should be turned back at the door.

What do you think about dress standards at church?

Dear sweet rigid Donna, Yes, aren't the fashions just horrible? And how dare those younger girls wear jeans with a bit of their tummies peeking out! We surely must change the dress code by turning those harlots away. Bless your old truthful kind soul.

Maybe she was wearing her finest clothing she had. The Lord dont care what you look like, its what is on the inside that counts. I think the Lord would be upset with you for criticizing someone for the clothes on their back, you said the church should shut the door and turn her away, do you really think that is what God would want the church to do, turn their back on someone simply for what they are wearing....

poor people should be able to worship and your attitude is straight evil, you are not better than anyone else, yet you judge others like you are so superior, cause you can afford good clothes, a king can go to hell and money and nice clothes do not make you a moral person, try looking up the seven deadly sins miss church goer and stop serving satan and mephistopheles with your deadliest sins of pride and wrath and what is apalling is you wanting to impose your values on a good person and exclude this person and others from a community that is supposed to love one another , this comes come hatred not love and it is you who should be turned away at the door

hmmm judge not lest ye be judged not in your bible? or perhaps let you among you who is without sin cast the first stone? Let's face it maybe the lady was more worried about worshipping God than fashion. Maybe you should speak to the pastor and find out if the woman is down on her luck and needs some help. Wait that would be Christian Charity of which you seem to be in short supply.

If you are a christian church you need to start acting like a christian. Jesus hung out with the poor, the leapers and the whores. He was in better company than a Pharisee who wore the finest clothes on his outside but harbors rotten rags in his soul
I think you need to read your bible. if your church has a dress code to keep out the poor your all going to burn in hell.
I hope your being sarcastic and realy are not that petty and mean.

Maybe that was her best! Your heart is defiantly not in the right place. You go to church to worship God and to learn more about Him and to fellowship with other Christians. You ARE NOT THERE TO JUDGE CLOTHING!Leave you predjuces and judgements at the door along with any troulbe you may have with someone in the church. Just worship and ask forgiveness for these past actions.

I think you are the most harsh person i have ever stumbled apon... Even tho I am not a christen, I am pagan, I do know that there is a passage that goes something like "I camand you to LOVE each other." That should go to EVERYONE, not by how they dress. You should never turn back on anyone and if you do you are turning back on yourself and your god.

Funny, the people hanging out with Jesus came from all walks of life, but mostly POOR people.

It is the heart that matters, not the clothing. God is not impressed by our clothing. He cares about our hearts and minds.

Who cares if she dresses like a schlump, if her kids are fed, clothed, and loved? If her husband knows she loves him? If she is decent, compassionate, and honest?

If you are concerned about this woman, take the sister out for some shopping, and do the good Christian thing...she may not be able to afford much.

In a lot of churches nowadays, this is perfectly OK.
I'm an atheist. A compassionate atheist. But.......
IF this was all she had to wear, if this is the best sort of clothing she has........do you think she should be denied "salvation"?

Maybe it's people like you that made people like me realize there really is no god and church is all a farce for the feeble-minded.

You do have a point. But is the Church a Social Club or a place to talk to God? True, being dressed like a slob is not nice, but that shouldn't really matter to Him, should it?

Did it ever dawn on you that the woman was poor and that is all she has to wear? Or maybe she has emotional issues? How judgmental of you. Get off of your high horse lady. What counts is that she was THERE!!!! Do you think God or Jesus would turn her away or comment on her clothes and not welcome her with open arms. You give Christians a bad name! Shame on you! Re-read your Bible! Maybe you should spent more time actually paying attention and listening to the service rather than playing a fashion consultant!

FURTHER NOTE: I have just read all of your lame and pathetic questions on here. It is obvious that you are no Christian and you are spending all of your time just baiting and bashing them. You a lonely pathetic, loser with no life. Grow up! Your icon sure fits your personality!
