based on my employers sponcer i had a green card from 1965 till 1969. since than i shifted to live overseas and had surendered the greencard to the american consulate.

now, is there a way to get the green card renewed?

Just remaining outside the U.S. for more than 12 months may result in the loss of your LPR status. But if you desire to return to the United States you may do so using a new immigrant visa based on an approved immigrant petition . A U.S. employer may file an immigrant petition on your behalf or a relative in the US which will take significant amount of time.

Green card renewal is applicable only if your Alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-551), with a ten-year expiration date on the front of the card is either expired or will expire within the next 6 months. Inapplicable in your case since you had rescinded your LPR benefits by surrendering it.

No, sorry. Once you have left the US for a full year, your residency is considered surrendered. If you want to go back, you will have to find someone to petition for you again. Or there's always the DV Lottery.

you can't, you'd have to reapply for a green card again and go through that painful process again.
