Why is that a woman, when asked, would say I want a caring, honest, loving man but always (well almost) end up liking a player because of his charm and ...whatever.. And then want him to change into man of their dreams. I dont understand why dont they choose a good man in the begeining....???

the "player" type tell you all of the things you like to hear. you think to yourself... "he's not so bad after all", then before you know it you're head over heels in love and he's moving on to the next. the problem is we want a perfect man.. and by the way, the perfect man has not yet been created. we want someone with good looks, money, charm, charisma, good values, sensitive, kind, honest, (add 25 more of your favorite adjectives).
it is virtually impossible to find someone who possess every single trait that we desire in a mate. at some point it becomes necessary to decide what you can and can't live without. those items become the deal breakers. but when we think with our hearts rather than our heads, we tend to fall for the guy who has all of the emotional traits we adore, and forget to evaluate the total package.
yes, i too have fallen into this trap more than once. but it is not until we realize the error of our ways that we can change for the better. i am now more mature and realize what's most important to me in a relationship. all women must eventually come to this realization in order to find the right man. i'm still looking, but i know he's out there... players need not apply.

Women tends to think with there heart instead of there mind. Yes you do want a nice honest guy but, it's the charm that wins you over. It is also the outer appearance that exudes immediate gratification. So, even if your mind tells you he's a man-whore your heart is beating a hundred miles a minute when your in his presence. However, once you get over the outside and the charisma you can better judge and make better decisions.

your absolutely right most women do go for players. maybe it's there charm or maybe even there confidence but whatever it is women are definitlely attracted. But the messed up thing is when they finally get it together and date a good man they treat him like garbage. Just to let you know i would never do that to you. I know this is cliche but just keep looking the right one will come along,

Sometimes it is an issue of self esteem. If you do not think you deserve to be treated well you often wont be. Some women like "players" because they do not want to make a commitment themselves.
There are good men out there, but they are a dying breed! only joking :p lol

Hmmm I really don't see that .. nor how can you really be involved with a player because normally they are not involved in commited relationships.
I don't have time for games, nor do I have time to share my significant other.

Girls on a whole love cute guys and the cute guys are mostly the players. It's really hard to find a guy whose not a player today sometimes it's best when we turn them in our dream guys. But christians can find them in the beginning (most christians).

Because women are from Venus and men are from Mars, and all women come here from Mars with a degree to "fix" everything and everyone. So of course they go for the players and the bad boys because they need fixing.
I know this I am a woman from "Mars" and I used to try to fix everything then I learned that I can't...so I sold my degree on e-bay....LOL

because a player likes the game of trying to get the women to do what he wants by lying and a nice guy is true about what he says. and a woman usually falls for the lies because alot of us are use to being lied to not someone being nice to us

A woman's prime directive is to get the best genes she can for her children to inherit and pass on so they can do the same etc that's why we are improving generation on generation. Evolution is driven by female choice, the only option is to go backwards and I don't want my great great grandchildren dating monkeys!
