Jesus said when he left here he would send us a comforter, which he did. so when somebody goes off on us, we don,t take it personal. it's not about us. it's about what we believe.and what we believe is a special gift waiting for you. we don't want to do anything to get in the way of you getting that gift. when Jesus left that comforter for us, the holy spirit, he also said that that comforter would be our advocate. it would take all our stuff to god. our worries, wants, fears, angers and make a plea to god on our behalf. so we don" have to get in your face. we hand it over to a higher power than our self. Jesus said just keep turning the other cheek. and god bless you for noticing the peace we have found. it tells me that god sees that peace in you

Because you are Christian and I choose not to embrace that faith, you think you are above me?!?!? I do not hate God, I simply do not believe in God the same way you do.
In your piety you feel justified in posting this narrow opinion. I feel embarrassed for you and the Christians I know that do not share your views.
Every Thanksgiving, and Christian holiday, I am at the homeless shelter the night before cooking and spend the next day serving food.
Twice a week I deliver Meals on Wheels for shut-ins. I volunteer 10 hours a week at B.A.S.I.C. and clip coupons every Sunday for our local Department of Family and Social Services. My coven has a large food pantry that will feed anyone of any faith. I accept no fees for my pastoral work and in the mists of all this I manage to hold a full time job and stay involved with my family.
Maybe you need to stoop to my level. It may do your spirit some good.
Blessings )O(

I don't hate God, but I sure don't like people telling me what to think, or that they are better than me because they might believe something different, or that I am going to hell because I don't agree with what their saying... you guys need to realize something quick: you aren't better than anybody else just because you are Christians. The Cherokees and the Jews both thought that they were the special people of God, and things didn't work out quite so good for them, now did it? Get over it!!! BTW: Who's "God" are you referring to? The Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, Native American, Aborigine, Jewish, etc., God or only the "Christian" one? Do you believe that God created all things? If you do, then God created all of those religions, and atheism too! You can believe whatever you want to, but when it comes to thinking you are better or more worthy than others because of your religious beliefs, you are off in "left field".

I am one of God's children. Yes being a Christian is full of the pain others place on our shoulders. But the reason we get stronger is because Jesus gives us someone to fall back on. Everytime I get cut down because of my religion, I go to God, and He strengthens me. It is hard to explain, but it is like being lifted from the bottoms of the Earth to a place where no words can hurt me.
One thing you have mistaken, is Christians are no better than those who do not believe in God; simply because Christians are not sinless. They sin along with the rest of the world, but Jesus makes us holy in spirit, in a place where humanity can't touch us.
God never said loving Him would be easy, but He said it would be worth it.

Did you notice the best Christians live in states where being one is illegal. No rif raf and hangers on there. I think persecution is the best thing for the church, if we had more we wouldn't be suporting hangers on like Bush. I am truly ashamed of the man, I know we are all sinners but did he have to tell everyone he was a devout christian. Paul said week sticks like him should be hidden, cuz at best he is the genitalia of the body, so embarassing.

Isn't that always the way? The more insults I've seen for Republicans and the President from liberals, the more entrenched a Republican I have become and I wasn't all that interested in politics before Answers. However, allow me to point out, that the more you treat atheists and the like. like projects to be worked on instead of people in need of example, the farther away from God they get and you will be responsible for it.

When we feel the hurt of someone we love, especially God or small kids or the elderly, we are always made stronger! We reach down into our faith and are able to keep going to protect our loved ones and our faith.

MEI, no...we are forever in a place of knowing more knowledge and understanding precedes us...therefore we are constantly trying to reach out to those who would test our understanding and especially to those who drift over our past to the more mature revelation of cleansing. The only reason we appear to grow stronger is that we have been waiting to be be verbaly tested to the end that we will speak eloquent words in defense of an outlaw operation..when we stray from pure religion and undefiled before god, that we lift up the widows and the orphans, then we all stray into prophetical dreams of a different answer than was given for Life. Thank you for the question because we need to wake up to the point and bottom line approach to christianity...keep your brother, wherever you may find him. period.

Faith can get stronger by its use; yes there may be a few that fall away, but the remaining can become stronger.
