I understand that the Metropolitan Community Churches cater to gays in Christianity, Is there a counterpart in Islam?

There is no place for homosexuals in Islam, Christianity or Judaeoism. The act of homosexuality is seen as a great sin in all of these religions. All one has to do is look to the example of Sodom and Ghomorah, the 2 cities of great sin, which are mentioned in the bible and the Quran as being cursed and destroyed by God.

It is unfortunate that people use religion as a business to make money. This is what is happening now with these homosexual sects in Chridtianity and islam, they know there is money to made within the gay community so they cater to that lifestyle.

There's a group called Imaan in the UK for gay Muslims and a group in the USA called Al-Fatiha, but neither is a "sect" per se.

No being a homosexual is a sin. In the Quran it even says so. Just like the bible says.
