Dishonest and one of the biggest cons there are. And yes, people are fooled that easy when the con is really good.

Only he and the Lord know what is going on in his heart. I don't know about the verses on lying you noted (alhough research points to him as a likely wolf in sheep's clothing), but think Oral Roberts qualifies as a false prophet (Deut. 18:22), which carries its own judgement. It's probably more dellusion than malice that causes his paranoid visions.

Well, I *suppose* it is possible that he is a sincere but misguided man. Possible but unlikely.
I never understood why the "Gimme money or the Lord with strike me dead," worked. Surely, as a Christian, he ought to have been glad to be called home. And surely his audience ought to have worked that out for themselves.
Plus, anyone who pays for blessings that can be had from any church for free, has got to be pretty clueless.

Oral Roberts is a man who I think honestly believes he's 'SPECIAL".

Now you have to ask yourself this, would you trust anyone with the first name Oral, c'mon!! That person's open to everything....
