How can I download and save html attachments? What special settings do I need?

I can send emails with attachments but when I receive them I am unable to save them to my computer and I am unable to open them to read the contents. Also, when I receive photograph attachments I am unable to open them, enlarge them or save them to my computer. Please help

Wish you have posted the email system, as it is different with each.
Usually there will be so kind of a button you click to save the attachment to your hard drive. This will copy the attachment out of the email and on to your hard drive. Then you go to where the attachment (now a file) was saved and double-click on the file. It should open for you.
