"What benevolent act would you like to perform on Jesus?" yields very slow, and few resonses on YA. However, "What horrific torture would you like to inflict on Jesus," yields many quick furious answers.

Why are Christians so aroused by thoughts of violence, but seem to be generally apathetic about thinking of what beautiful acts of Christian kindness they could do to help Jesus?

Actually the way that the 2nd question was worded I purposely stayed away because I didn't want to hear any perverted stuff about my Lord today and I was trying to not have to report anyone today.
