I saw a renting property add with "No DSS" sign. What does it mean?Tnx

In the UK, it means that the landlord will not let the room out to someone who is dependent on government housing benefits to pay the rent.

They don't want anyone on Social Security Benefits.. DSS is now called the Benefits Agency.. but everyone still calls it the Social or DSS (department of Social Security) -

It stands for Department of Social Security and basically the notice NO DSS means they won't accept anyone who is claiming benefits
