Well They say practice makes perfect. One becomes proficient at writing by writing often. One becomes proficient at reading by reading often. So it's only possible that one would become proficient at concentrating by concentrating often. Concentration on the breath, and other aspects of humans awareness over time, is how one concentrates. Do that for long duration and of course you've no choice but to have a higher sense of concentration and serenity.

I have a running route I do every other day where I run at four minate intervals. At the park I hold my breath for as long as I can
while sitting india style (usually 40 to 60 seconds). I meditate and think of the soul leaving the body and how beatiful that will be in the end though its scary to face that thought. Sometimes I bring somethning to read with me though its usually sweaty at this point and read awhile. Deep breaths into the nostril and exale out the mouth works for running or meditating.

I guess it is "possible," but a waste of time. Yoga and meditation are totally gay. Better to involve yourself in intellectual pursuits. Read good literature - not trash novels and stuff like that. Read history, politics, religion, science, the arts of war, the great leaders, etc. Read the great writers and thinkers of yore. Frequent your local library.

Also do brain teasers. There are millions of them online. This will increase your powers of intellect and concentration. Do VIGOROUS exercise - not p ussy activities like Yoga and Pilates.

In your speech, always be serious and thoughtful. Stop cursing - it's negative.

These are but a few suggestions - rise above the mediocrity we see so much in practice in these silly times. You will stand out among the rest.

Love, Jack.

Yoga, meditation, tai chi, and fasting will help you with mental alertness and concentration. Try all of these while doing the Master Cleanse (book by Stanley Burroughs) which you can find out how to do it by simply googling it.
