We fear rejection. Its that simple. All most guys have is their pride and dont want to risk losing a piece of it.

Well, perhaps it's because every human wants to be accepted and loved by his peers. If a girl rejects you, it basically is a stab at your ego, and nobody enjoys that. Don't worry, as you get older (I'm guessing your young), - a. you have more to offer women b. women are much more in tune with there sexuality c. you receive more, and can much more easily identify a womans come hither signals d. it's not as devastating if a woman sideskirts your advances. It just happens (not to me of course :-))
Oh yeah, and terences Law of Averages statement COULD NOT BE MORE TRUE. It's just like selling anything. Put your product out there (in this case your sexy ***) as much as you can, and eventually customers come in....

Because young men (especially) FEAR rejection more than just about anything else; they have fragile egos and the thought of being rejected is overwhelming. That's why.
