When I got spacers, my orthodontist told me to take 1 Tylenol and 1 Advil together. They make a better painkiller than 2 Tylenols or 2 Advils. After the first 2 days or so, the pain will subside. Until then, try eating softer foods and chewing with your front teeth. Spacers are actually worse than braces, so it will only get better.

Oh, do I ever remember.... take some tylenol, just the regular dose, never more. It should ease off soon, even thought right now that seems hard to imagine. Try a milk shake for hunger or something you don't have to chew like apple sauce. Hope it quits hurting really soon! Good luck.

Since this is Saturday you cant go to he dentist and get it fixed, eat stuff that you really do not have to chew a lot.
Mashed Potatoes, Jello, ice cream, Soup, chili I know it is not healthy but it is better than being that hungry.

Normally taking 500mg tylenol and 400 mg ibuprophen works because one works thru the liver and the other the kidney.

Got any mint leaves available? Or extract of mint? The ancient Greeks used it to reduce pain in swollen muscles, and very recent studies have shown that it works!

Of course-- ASK your Dentist. BUT, what has worked for me is a "Local Anisthetic". Such as Ambesol.. A Generic should work just as good. Apply carefully because anything that you touch with it will get numb...including your tongue... You taste with that...lol I suggest to apply it with a Q-Tip...Those generics work just as good too....lol

Advil or Ibuprofen 1 or 2 pills every 6 to 8 hours. .....I had those when I had braces...the pain will go away eventually. Dont worry.....
