Not in so many words. But, I had a friend that was an atheist...that he needs to believe that Jesus Christ died for his sins. He was about to go off to Iraq to fight in the war. I was afraid if something happened to him his soul would be lost.
I also told him no-one is atheist in near death experiences. They always cry out to God. Deep down we all know he exist. But, we over think life.
I am only a person and have no right to say who will and will not go to Heaven only God can say that.

did you realize that if they don't believe in god they also don't believe in heaven, so it probably didn't really bother them that much.

not unsolicited. if someone specifically asks my beliefs or opinion then i give it if the situation is appropriate. unsolicited advice or opinion usually sparks anger and little else, especially if coming from someone not well known.
