Chicken, hamburgs, steak, salmon and pork chops.
Good grilling depends on the marinade, the spices and the temperature. I'd advise not to "fast grill"; slow grilling works far better.

I got this recipe from the Paule Dean show (Food TV) and every time I make it, everybody really likes it.

I'm sharing this one with you to answer your question, for two reasons. First because I thought a side dish would be helpful because I thought your question may prompt lots of meat and main course recipes. Second, because it is super fast and easy to make!

They taste like French Onion Soup
Vidalia (Sweet Onions)
Beef Bouillon Cubes
Butter (Of course, it is Paula's recipe)

Peel the skins off the onion. Cut off the Top. Core out the middle, not all the way to the bottom, about an inch from the bottom. In the hole, put 2 Beef Bouillon cubes and pack in as much butter as you can fit into the whole. Wrap the onion in aluminum foil and place on upper rack of grill for approx 30 minutes or until it feel soft (Not mushy)
These onions will be better than French Onion soup and go with grilled steak and chicken so well!

Finally, there is a special page on the Food Tv Web site for LABOR DAY party ideas and recipes. I checked it out, looks pretty yummy!!!
Enjoy!
