Yeah I would say that is why. Find a guy who will respect your wishes. A guy who won't is not a guy you want to be with.

Good for you! So he deserted you -- that tells you exactly what he wanted from the relationship, doesn't it. Nothing about walking away from a refusal to have pre-marital sex says anything about a loving, caring relationship. It's just a guy with a selfish wish for instant gratification. You haven't lost anything (including your virginity) nor have you gained anything, like a sexually transmitted disease or an unplanned pregnancy. I'd say you came out the winner in this. Yes, it's discouraging because you have invested some time and your emotions in this relationship, but it obviously was one-sided from the beginning. Hang in there, the right guy will come along, and he'll treasure you all the more for your high standards.
Been there, done that -- and the end result was a very happy marriage to Mr. Right.

perhaps you need to redefine boyfriend. Lotsa us guys want sex and want it now. We are not your friend. Watch out some of us would have seen you as a challenge and stuck around long enough to learn to play your instrument and then left, or maybe get to know and appreciate you but what are the chances of that. He might have left for other reasons. Have you asked him? If your not clingy and just ask up front there is a good chance he will tell you unless he is ashamed of himself.

Because you are a tease. How you are dressed in that photo screams EASY. And then you say no to pre-marital sex?? Like it or not, we are all judged by our exterior. Make your appearance match your high morality stance.

If your bf left because of that then you're so much better off without him. Now you know what he was in it for...the sex! If someone truly loves YOU, and is in the relationship because they want to be with YOU, then they'll respect your choice not to have sex before marriage.
I, personally, didn't wait, but I know 2 girls that did, and they're now married to the guys who waited for them.

Unfortunately, there are some boys (not real men) who are only in a relationship for what they think they'll get out of you. Keep looking . . .

i know it hurts deeply when this happens. i imagine that when things were good, they were very, very good. the bottom line is that it takes kissing a lot self-centered frogs, and a lot of learning before you meet the right person .
