The longer a drug’s half-life - the time it takes for half the amount of drug in the body to be eliminated - the less likely it is to cause withdrawal problems. Eli Lilly’s Prozac, for example, has a long half-life, remaining in the body for days or even weeks after someone stops taking it. As a result, people who take it are less likely to experience withdrawal effects.
“With Prozac, it can take six weeks for any symptoms to occur,” Dr. Rosenbaum said, and even then the effects are mild, with about 5 to 6 percent of people experiencing mild dizziness.

Prozac stays in your system for quite a while. You may think you are ok at first but then it will hit you pretty hard. If you are determined enough to hang in there you can do it. I know some one that has quit and been off for 5 months. It is well out of his
system by now, and he is doing just fine.

You'll go through seratonin withdrawl. Increase depression, dizziness, headaches, visual distrubances, electric shock sensations. Some are more sensitive than others. Just taper off for a few weeks and you'll feel better in the long run.

You could experience side effects. Most likely you will. Headaches, diziness, funny feelings in your brain that I can't even describe. Sometimes it's kind of scary. Don't do it. To get off it the slow way usually only takes about a month. Try that instead.
