If we were all resposible and knew what we could accomplish, would the church lose it's credibility. Would there be a mass riot if a public figure of formal and moral authority told us this to be true?

both, to empower you to spread their propaganda and codependency, and to disempower you from thinking for yourself and escaping the group or leader control.

Considering they threaten you if you don't believe or don't do as they say (hell) i would say that's quite disempowering.

The object of the church (not all, but evangelical for sure) is to keep you ignorant of the facts so they can fill your head with misinformation and keep you in their "flock."

Is it in any way empowering to be called a sheep?
