Lucifer wasn't conquered, he was banished from Heaven. And part of his banishment was to rule on Earth...rule? How can someone who is conquered still be in a position to rule???
And to top things off, he was allowed to keep his Heavenly powers! Okay, what's going on here? So, maybe Lucifer will be destroyed when God destroys the world during the rapture. Who's to say...then again: if Lucifer has his full powers and can make things appear as if they're good, what would keep him from making the rapture appear but it's only an illusion, a deception and everyone will go bow down to him? Hmm...better do some marinating on this, y'all...

Let's look at the facts. Lucifer was the most beautiful being, and had everything. He lost it, was cast out, and roams the earth, as the most hideous of creatures. He at least got to keep the eternal life part, and powers, like being able to take on any form. But what good is that, after coming from heaven? If he was boastful at being the king of ugly, burned up souls, then I would say that He, as Satan now, would be making the best of his situation. He knows he has no real power here, except to deceive, and he knew that Jesus IS God's word, and therefore is God that he was speaking to. That meant that he knew that he must somehow stop what was to come, but he could not.
I would say that he was, is, and will forever be the loser.

Satan was kicked out of Heaven now he roams the Earth looking for whom he can devour. But in the Old Testament he was allowed to go back and forth from Earth to Heaven. If you remember he presented himself in front of God to challenge Job's faith. So obviously he traveled back and forth. How it's done is actually beyond me. But I would like to know. LOL

In modern and late Medieval Christian thought, Lucifer is a fallen angel commonly associated with Satan, the embodiment of evil and enemy of God. Lucifer is generally considered, based on the influence of Christian literature and legend, to have been a prominent archangel in heaven (although some contexts say he was a cherub or a seraph), prior to having been motivated by pride to rebel against God. When the rebellion failed, Lucifer was cast out of heaven, along with a third of the heavenly host, and came to reside on the world.
Lucifer was originally a Latin word meaning "light-bearer" (from lux, "light", and ferre, "to bear, bring"), a Roman astrological term for the "Morning Star", the planet Venus. The word Lucifer was the direct translation of the Greek eosphorus ("dawn-bearer"; cf. Greek phosphorus, "light-bearer") used by Jerome in the Vulgate. In that passage, Isaiah 14:12, it referred to one of the popular honorific titles of a Babylonian king; however, later interpretations of the text, and the influence of embellishments in works such as Dante's The Divine Comedy and Milton's Paradise Lost, led to the common idea in Christian mythology and folklore that Lucifer was a poetic appellation of Satan.

Lucifer lost the battle. It is over.
We perceive it as going on since we are inside time.
God granted Lucifer dominion over the earth for a bit. Jesus rejected Lucifer's offer of sharing this dominion because it is worthless.
