any saturday night plans? my 8 year old daughter went over my sisters for the weekend as she does every weekend. my 7 month old son stays with me so me and my hubby are probably going to get a bite to eat and maybe see World Trade Center. My son is very good in the movie theatre, he will sleep right through the movie(thank god). have you ever taken your baby to the movies?

yes. many times when he was an infant under 1 year he usually went to sleep now at three years old we arent so lucky. we go to late showings and we go to movies once they have been out awhile. fewer people to annoy

Not to an adult movie. Even if your baby is as quiet as a mouse, you are going to get the glares - you know, the kind where people tell you w/thier faces - "what the heck are you thinking."

You should splurge and get someone to sit for the baby, I bet it will be a real treat. Or at least go see "Barnyard" or something, you will limit the amount of stares.

I'm not judging, I'm just telling you the facts. We took our children to Wendy's for Pete's sake, and my girls were being typical 2 & 3 year-olds - screaming, laughing and being goofy. The woman next to us (who sat near US) kept glaring over at us. Til finally I asked her if there was a problem, and she got very flustered. So, be prepared.

i took my daughter to an afternoon matinee that was completely empty, we were the only ones there. she was 3 months, cried a couple of times, but no big deal. 18 months later, my husband and i tried again, she was too crazy, we had to leave in the middle of the show. good thing it was "barnyard" and it blew anyway!!
