It is alittle cheaper to insure a scooter than a motorcycle. Just because a motorcycle would cost more to replace.

Some scooters don't require insurance at all. They don't go as fast as a motorcycle. So, your less likely to get in a really bad wreck and drive absurdly.

It depends on the state that you live in and what type of coverage you need. Generally a scooter, but it may not be much more for a smaller cc size motorcycle.

A scooter, motorcycle's have much stronger engine's which means it is a higher risk for insurance companies.

Its about the same although If you buy a 49cc scooter you dont need to register or insure it...I was paying $180 a year for my motorcycle and when I had a Vespa 200cc it was $160 a year.

A scooter, but be aware there are some places you can't drive a scooter (it's considered a motor driven cycle rather than a motor cycle)
