You have to remember that this food is fuelling her mind for the afternoon. Send varieties of different sandwiches such as turkey, ham, egg, etc. Also send things like apples or bananas (any type of fruit). I am a teacher and I often see parents just send things like cheese, veggies, crackers etc. It does not have to be a sandwich everyday. Try and limit the Doritos and other chips. Send a bottle of water for her to have and maybe a fruit juice or milk. You could also send a bagel or a muffin.
Talk to your daughter about what she would like (of course in reason). Also does her school have a microwave that she could use? If they do then you could send a variety of different things.
Also in the Winter soup is a nice idea in a therm-us. You could also send macaroni, spaghetti, or stew in there as well!
Try and keep the lunch different so she doesn't get bored with it!

A sandwich with:
Sliced meat 70% of the time.
Sliced Cheese 25% of the time.
Other 5% of the time (peanut butter, cream cheese, vegemite, etc) for variety.
A portion of fruit 80% of the time
An apple, a mandarin, grapes, etc
Other 20% of the time (dried fruit and nuts, yoghurt, etc)
A snack: Chips (plain), Biscuits, Cheese strings, Chocolate (occasionally), other sugary snack (rarely),
Water (in a bottle that does not cause it to taste like plastic after being inside) 80% of the time or, in winter, a mix of water and 100% fruit juice.

my kid went through the cheese and mustard sandwich for a couple of years. Didn't want anything else. Also include:
Chips
juice box, or as she's older, can of soda on some days
fruit (specific grapes she likes, apple sauce, pineapple cup) Remember the spoon!
Rolled up bologna, with toothpicks holding the slices together. (something she likes)
slices of cheese now and then
two or three pieces of candy
mine likes the Doritos's too

my dd gets a sandwich turkey, ham, etc...with cheese. or pb and j
sandwich. then she gets chips of some sorts . I also pack
gogurt, granola bar, and a drink(juice).
Sometimes I pack fruit instead of gogurt, like grapes , nectarine,
apple, or an orange.
raisins are always good.
I try to do as healthy as possible. But in all reality kids will either trade or trow away what they don't want.
So I always get her input.
Hope that helps.

Ham and cheese, chicken salad or egg salad.
We always put some type of fruit in and animal crackers or cheese and crackers.
I also freeze the juice box or Capri sun I put in it so that way it keeps their lunch cold and the drink is still cold at lunch time.
