Stress is simply a fact of nature -- forces from the outside world affecting the individual. Hence, all living creatures are in a constant interchange with their surroundings (the ecosystem), both physically and behaviorally. This interplay of forces, or energy, is of course present in the relationships between all matter in the universe, whether they are living (animate) or not living (inanimate). However, there are critical differences in how different living creatures relate to their environment. These differences have far reaching consequences for survival. Because of the overabundance of stress in our modern lives, we usually think of stress as a negative experience. But from a biological point of view, stress can be neutral, negative, or positive.

I cannot tell you all the things that the body can do when you get stressed. Some doctors from India, think that stress is the cause of many diseases. If you cannot unstress yourself, with medication, massages, yoga to clear the mind, you will have a physical and mental meltdown. It is like a car, if you do not maintain it then will breakdown. I mean a mental breakdown with you. If it is a marriage, then get it fixed or get out, it may or may not improve with time. If it is a kid, then go to counseling, and also with the marriage. If it is work, sit down and talk to someone or quit, and find another job. If it is financial, then go to a financial adviser, just work on it. I don't know what your situation is, but if you are in need of medication, then it will not get better, without the meds. I know, I have been there. Don't pay any attention to Tom Cruise, he needs some med. himself. He is hyper-active, and thinks Scientology is the answer. God is the answer and not that crazy religion created by a Sci Fi writer. Get active in a church and meet some loving, caring people. When you are stressed out, your body and mind will tell you with a melt down, so don't wait if you think this is going on with you or someone you love. You can snap.

This is what happens to me.
I feel tense, don't laugh at things I normally wood, don't smile as much, get bothered by things that normally don't bother me, take out some frustration on my partner, and normally other people can tell when I am just by talking to me. Then, when I am really stressed which doesn't happen too often, I cry.
Stress Management:
self-understanding (e.g. self-identification as a Type A or as a Type B personality)

Let's say when you are ready to pull your hair out, wring someones neck, are not tolerant of the simple things. That could be. YOU ARE STRESSED.
Many things can streess you out. That doesnt mean you are in trouble. It just means that certain things put stress on your mental being. Some instances, your mother, mother-in-law, a new marriage etc.
Hope I helped.

Stressed out is when you've had your fill of whatever you were doing, and now you're in need of a release from it. Stress is an injury, because it limits what you can do, and it can get worse if it's aggrevated.

perhaps when your mind keeps on dwelling on something that you cant resolve and no matter how much you try to do it ; you just cant get it done.
take a chill pill instead. relax before you try doing something again. let your mind rest and be cleared of its troubles.
=)
