Seeing as you work 28 hrs per week for the fist and get paid 7.25, its...

28
x 7.25
-------

Which then equals $203. To get the remaining 52 dollars, divide 52 by 6.5.

The answer is 8.

You should really do this stuff yourself.

thats really easy & i am in algebra 1 but whatever so....

first job : 28 hours per week, 7.25 per hour = 28(7.25)= $203

second job: as many hours u want, 6.50 per hour= ...

you want $255 per week= $255 - $203= $52 so you need $52 dollars form your second job so

$52 / $6.50= 8 hours

answer = you need to work 8 hours on your second job!

hope you vote me best answer for all that i jsut did for you! haha

Let me see if I got this right..

In your first job you make $203 dollars($7.25 x 28)
Then to reach the sum of $255, you work for 8 hours in the second job($6.50 x 8)

(7.25 x 28) + (6.50 x ?) = 255~~~Simplify
203 + (6.50 x ?) = 255~~~Subtract
6.50 x ?=52~~~Divide
?=8~~~Solution

*This doesn't seem like Algebra 2, it seems like Aritmetic.

28 times 7.25=203 , 255- 203=52 , 52 divided by 6.50 = 8 eight hours is the answer.

Sorry man, that's more like 6th grade math.

All you gotta do is find how much you earn per week from your first job, subtract that from $255

Then divide that number by the hourly pay of the second job to find the hours you would need to work.

I bet my 4th grade daughter could figure that out!

Okay, let's see...
Let your second job's weekly working hours be x.
28*7.25 is your first job's weekly pay
Your second job's weekly pay is x*6.5
You want to earn 255 weekly, so:
28*7.25+6.5x=255
203+6.5x=255
6.5x=52
x=52/6.5
x=8
So you must work 8 hrs weekly in your second job if you want a 255 weekly pay all together.
