El Segundo Fish Co.'s modest prices and critical acclaim--voted best seafood in the El Segundo Herald--draw in diners looking for fresh and satisfying selections like the New England Clam Chowder, Fish 'n Chips, and Jambalaya. You really need to keep going south to New Zealand. They even wrap them in newspaper for you. Maybe the fish are just better down near the South Pole. There are quite good places along the PCH. It seems like each is just a preference to the person who likes that extablishment. One person just likes their own favorite place. Make sure you get fresh fish of the day. Cod is my favorite. It depends too on how fresh their cooking oil is and the type used. It is hard to find a place that uses good olive oil. As I have traveled on the PCH I look for places who buy fresh fish and have their own in house fish and chips place. The chips of course are french fries and usually greasy.
