I do not have a problem with Gay people being in charge--we are all human and GOD loves us all. My brothers said no...I ask if he were ill and the only doctor in the world was GAY would he go to see him he said no--because GOD does not like GAY people. His reply upset me--who is correct? Please be honest with your replies...My brother say he is correct--i say he is wrong.

We live in a society that separates and segments and discriminates until it is unreal! And the holy-rollers who want to only para-quote "verses" from a book that was written by man and lay their lives down for it while still hating various different people and cultures is beyond me.
God (in whatever form the readers of this post want to put their God [if applicable] in) is how you want to believe God to be; while the disproof that God exists may be subjective, the proof that God exists is as subjective. People believe in God, and that's all that we as humans know is the belief. But now, we're putting belief into man because man wrote the bible, spoke on Jesus and God and all the rest...who's to say that what they wrote way back then isn't a lie in itself?
Okay, for the sake of arguement, let's say it's all true, and homosexuality is an abomination...so is eating shell fish but I bet these same religious zealots (sorry, got personal here) will be at Red Lobster, Joe's Crab Shack, or Olive Garden (shrimp alfredo) just chowing down.
If we as humans are supposed to be as one, love for one & all, then why are there so many separate religions? I mean, right in itself, religion is discriminating: if you're not Catholic, you're wrong, if you're not Protestant (which means to protest), you're wrong, Baptist (which Jesus was being that he was baptized by John, the Baptist) have the Southern Baptist (African & Euro but the Euro Baptist can't stand Africans but the Euro Baptist's God is an all-loving God?)...ooh, I could go on with this!
If your brother would not allow a homosexual to treat him medically, then your brother would just have to die. God didn't put us here on earth to be ignorant (root word: ignore) and if your brother chose to ignore sound advise, then that's him going against God...might want to have your brother marinate on this a bit...

As long as a person's sexual preferences doesn't involve children, animals, and etc., why would it matter what sex they prefer to sleep with it? People are just closed minded idiots.
And, how does your brother know someone isn't gay? Being married and/or having kids doesn't mean one is necessarily straight...
I'm sure there are plenty of couples out there who have open relationships and other such bedroom arrangements....

I always think if GOD is in everyone and everything, why would GOD hate a person or thing? That's hating itself, the totality of everything. A person's sexual choices do not affect zir ability to be a good doctor. One must separate a person's acts from zir abilities, and zir abilities from zir true self.

As long as some one is intelligent and qualified for the job who the hell cares who he/she has sex with? Right?
I agree with you. I hate it when they use all those out dated texts to put something down. When was the last time sticking to old tradition turned out to be a good thing?

If you mean in the church, I think that's un unwise move. I disagree with the Church ordaining practicing homosexuals. If they're abstinent, then that's fine, they're not sinning. However, if the person is engaging in homosexual behavior, then they're sinning regularly. How can a priest or pastor be a role model (which they should be as leader of a congregation) if their lifestyle is sinful? They can't.
