It totally depends on the woman. Everybody is different from the next person. However, honesty,goal oriented,sense of humor, being caring, gentlemanly,smart,and mature are all good qualities that a man can have. It's a good quality too to also possess if a fellow has a good intention towards the woman or lady he wants to date. Nobody likes being deceived and hurt.

He has to seem like a nice guy with a sense of humour, not be too boring or too obviously determined to get me into bed quickly, he doesn't need to be movie star handsome but needs to have something cute about him.
I find men are too keen to pressure me into sex when I have only just met them, it is pretty horrible to have someone demand a bl*w job, or worse still try to force my head down towards their groin without even asking, the first time we are alone. No wonder people are getting married later and later, it takes so long to find men who have outgrown this.
Going out with him, he has to give me space and not demand all my spare time, and not be a lousy lay. And since I am no longer a student, he needs to have a job, although he doesn't have to be a big earner. And not be jealous even though there is no cheating or flirting on my part.

Good personality: polite, funny, intelligent, charming, witty, outgoing...Personality comes first but there needs to be some degree of physical attraction. Women also go for looks but they do not place the same importance on looks as men do. It depends on the woman. I also think that women look for a guy that has a stable job (not a bum).

It depends on what that particular woman is looking for at that particular time in her life, it also depends on her personal tastes, goals and character. Some women want a guy they can dance and party with, some want a guy they can go to church with and take to Sunday dinner with mom....there are too many variables to answer this question.

Before; I look for someone who is interested in me and can carry on an intelligent and interesting conversation-looks don't matter one bit. Neither does money.
During dating; I am looking to see if he's marriage material. I want to get married, so if he's not someone I would marry there's no sense dating.

before dating i look for someone who is responsible... fun.. full of character.... and respectful and caring of me and my beliefs... during a relationship i look for someone who is maturing with me... growing.. becoming more of all the things that were good in the begining....
