Unfortunately anyone or any group can declare that they are "Christian" or "Muslim" or any other religious name then want and proceed to do whatever they want in the name of the religion, whether that actual beliefs of that religion would support their actions or not.
Condemn the people commiting the crime, but not the religion. The 90% of Christians or Muslims or whatever that are sincerely following the real teachings of their religion will support you in the condemnation.

History will tell you that religion has been used for thousands of years to further personal cause...it's always about whose god is right. Religious leaders have used intimidation as a factor to control the masses...the catholic church would be a prime example...think about it.....
The average family of the middle ages lived in a one room, primitive house...look at the cathedrals from that time period...think intimidation wasn't on the mind of the catholic leaders when they constructed those buildings...what do you think an uneducated citizen thought when he walked into one of those massive structures...probably that he should obey whatever they said...same for mosques, synagogues, etc...
Organized religion preys on peoples weaknesses...it capitalizes on the hope that whatever religious leaders will to be done...that their followers will obey...if they don't...they would be going against whatever god that particular religion was utilizing and would subsequently burn in the fiery pits of hell...kinda crazy huh?
True "religion" is inside someone...it's a personal experience with spirituality that can't be mandated by a bible, a church, a pastor..whatever...

I think you hit that nail with a 4 pound hammer. It is a personal cause. Any and all religion is the same and is about power and money.

They use religion as a front to justify their evil acts. None of them are obeying God when they spew hatred.
Bad people are bad people no matter what they use to justify their acts. So don't dislike religious people because of crazies.
God bless you

They use religion to gain power and prominance and fear makes good converts. Most Islam is converted at the edge of the sword.
Look at the two fox news reporters they converted them to Islam
It was either that or have your head chopped off. big choice.

I think they use religion to further their own cause. They are misfits in society who have to have an outlet to vent their stupidity.
