What I know about mormons might frighten you. Unless you are cool with mysticism....
You ever wonder why Joseph Smith was killed? He broke an oath of secrecy to his fraternal brothers. The symbols mormons use are synonomous with many mystic teachings along with the ceremonies and initiations.
I still respect them though.
:)
All the churches can lead up to the same circle if you let them.

All I know is Donny Osmond is a Mormon, and he gives a third of all his money to the Mormon church. I also have read a table that compared very rich people (people with at least 50 million pounds, most with about 500 million) with the amount they give to a cause (usually a charity, but it could be a church) and the most was 10.7% of their earnings went to a cause, but most people on the list give between 5-8%. They are not Mormons?

Mormons are uptight but their general adherence to their faith means that they are probably the one western religion that most faithully refrains from self-abuse in term of drugs and whatnot. Because of this (all drugs damage the brain to some degree: fact), they tend to have the healthiest cognitive facility of Christian groups. Partly because of this the Church has enormous monetary assets and they are very powerful. Their abstinence is channeled into social accomplishment. Religion obviously is lame, but the Mormons are by far the most socially useful ecclesiastical group in Christendom, per captia, and a blessing on the United States. Some say they are not Christians and are a cult. This defies them meaning of the word cult and labels the detractor as an intolerant idiot. In addition, they believe in Christ as the saviour, making them Christians, but if they weren't that's fine too because Christians who speak bad against Christians poison their own tradition and will be spending an eternity in Hell. The difference is that if most Protestants disappeared the world would eveolve more quickly, but Mormons contribute an enormous amount to society in the present tense.

I have a next door neighbor that is a Mormon. A nicer person you will never meet. He is odd in some of his actions. They have many things wrong with their beliefs. It would take a long time to answer. They still have a temple service, and if you go through this temple you will be in strange ville. They also believe they can be baptized for someone else. Joseph Smith, and his brother Hiram were killed by irate husbands for messing around with their wives. Hiram shot a man and killed him before he was shot. Joseph Smith did not write The Book Of Mormon. He just took credit for it. They think the bible has errors in it. It does not, except for punctuation marks which were added much later.

The people themselves are good people who really believe in their religion. I know good people from every religion. It doesn't make their religions true, but they are good people just the same. I am also a former Mormon.

My best friend was a Mormon for many years.
I studied under two missionaries.

I ENJOY THEM.

Two wives necessary--YES! One regular secular wife and one TEMPLE wife definitely still required!
