I used some compost to grow some garlic chives in my kitchen. In amongst these a crop of little cacti grew. These started of with two fat cotyledons then spiky things with a four-pointed cross section grew up. Any idea what these might be? Definitely cacti though. Thanks.

The garlic chives were from a packet of seeds from a garden centre. Eaten them, they're fine. I think the cactus seeds were in the compost. The compost was J Artgur Bower's ericaceous peat based potting compost. Don't know where it's sourced from but somewhere in UK.
