Fry the lean ground beef in a fry pan and then add a pkg. of taco seasoning.
Or you could add your own spices like cumin, chili powder, and pepper, but it won't be the same as a prepackaged mix.

You can use spices or you can buy prepackaged taco seasoning to put in the meat. I like to use the Pace taco seasoning because I love their salsa. The leaner the meat the healthier it will be. It will not be gross, but when you cook the beef make sure you rinse it under water so that you get rid of as much grease and fat as possible BEFORE you add the seasonings to the beef! Add some sour cream, cheese, diced tomatoes and lettuce and salsa and I'll come over for dinner too! lol

Cook the beef and then put it in a corn tortilla shell, the smaller type. Then fold em and deep fry them in Crisco. Another good way to make them is to add potatoes to the beef and then fry them. That's the way a lot of Mexicans do it. The lean beef is ok to use, but it might dry out when you fry them. Try it and see which way you like best. Good Luck!

Get a pack of Taco seasoning mix. It will give you exact directions. No it won't be gross to use lean beef. I always do.
If you want a little twist, you can add the juice from one lime to the meat after you drain it. My family loves it when I add a little lime juice to taco or burrito meat.

just put taco seasoning mix on it. i suggest El Paso. comes in a packets and costs less than a dollar. nothing wrong with using lean beef. i frequently use ground turkey and ground chicken. they both taste very good with the taco seasoning.
if you really want to try something tastey, use the seasoned beef for taco salad. i make it with Nacho Cheese Doritos. then put the beet, letttuce, tomato, cheese, etc. Top it with a little taco sauce...WONDERFUL.
good luck.

i just cook the beef in a frying pan/small pot... you usually don't need a lot of beef but at the same time you probably don't want to have opened uncooked meat.... experiment.

the way we always get them here at the taco stands it has no season on it, but it's got cilantro and onion mixture with cheese lettuce and tomatoes on top. and they are on a small corn tortilla. But You could always just get the taco season rom like wal mart or somewhere like that but to have authentic spanish tacos, I think you season with like chlli pepper jalepeno and cumin. but I'm not sure!
