Date movies come in 4 basic varieties, each designed to illicit a different response in a date..

1. Romantic... Your date will feel you are in touch with your feminine side thus more in tune with her..

Sub genre: Romantic comedy, Romantic drama..

2. Documentary... Your date will feel you appreciate her on an intellectual level and are interested in her mind..

3. Action.. Your date will feel you are a man of action, yet this is a tricky genre as your date may also feel bored and as if you are thinking too much of yourself..

4. Horror... Your date will feel startled, frightened, If you play it right holding her hand or putting your arm around her at the scarier parts your date will feel protected..

While a horror movie is an acceptable date movie it's also a tricky one to handle, if you make fun of or laugh when your date jumps, screams, or covers her eyes.. You are losing points for being a callus man, howver if you console, put your arm around or hold your dates hand, you score points for being a strong protective man..

Play it right and Wicker Man should be a great date movie...

The wicker Man is not that scary. It is more of a thriller.
This type of movie is good for a date because it gives her the opportunity to grab you if she gets scared. That could lead to hand holding or snuggling. Good luck. Enjoy the show!

If your date is really into horror movies then I'd say it's fine. I think that you should ask first though. It's not the typical type of movie you'd take a date to.

Horror movies are good date movies because if its really scary, she might cuddle up with you, and if its dumb, you can make fun of it together. Unless she hates horror movies. Then its a bad idea. Ask her what she likes first.

hmm..depends if it's the first or not...
if it;s the first date for me, i dont think i would enjoy it. It simply tells me you would want to take advantage of anytime when i am feeling scared. haha... but if she really likes them, i guess it's ok...
dun go for movies that are too cheesy that made both feel uncomfortable, and dun go for over violent or over horror movies. something moderate wil do. preferably a good moderate movies..all da best dude!

yep. make sure it's a good n scary one. don't get scared and chuckle at her when she does. make sure ur close to her so she can hold your hand or hug u when she gets scared. give her a lil peck on the cheek if she starts cryin n tell her it's ok big daddy is here and gently wipe away those tears.

Find out what type of movie she likes first. Preferably ask her what is her favorite movie then form your conclusion from there.

Yep! She'll be good and scared and cling on to you to protect her. Don't take her to one of those dopey chick flicks, you'll be miserable, and she'll get all weepy and man-hating. Trust me on that one.

If you want to watch one on DVD, try Vampire Biker Babes. I'm in it, and this is a shamless bit of self-promotion.
